At Raising Digital Citizens, we help families foster more meaningful relationships based on what researchers clearly confirm is the very best protection for children in the digital world: conversations.
Talking together about values in the online world and making a bond based on trust, not fear, is one of the best long term investments in a child’s safety a family can make. Most parents have no idea how to even begin to cover everything when discussing digital citizenship.
This is exactly why Raising Digital Citizens’ conversation cards were created: to help you cover all the important topics in a fun, hands-on way so you can ensure your child knows what to do in any situation even when you aren’t there to protect them.
The cards are followed up by a personalizable agreement, ongoing support, guidance and lots of cutting edge research and tools to help you evolve together with understanding and respect, not distance and hostility.

Our C.A.R.E
approach
Our groundbreaking CARE approach (Connection, Agreement, Respect and Evolve) has been tried and tested, and is based on one of the world’s most renowned parenting philosophies with over 40 years of success in happiness and digital wellbeing.
Conversations that foster a relationship built on trust, not fear is the best protection in the online world. Raising Digital Citizens’ conversation cards help families broach all topics around digital citizenship in a fun, hands-on way so you can establish values together and ensure your child knows what to do when you aren’t there.
Making an agreement that reflects your family’s values, guidelines and boundaries, fosters responsibility and a safer online experience. A Raising Digital Citizen’s agreement is made to be personalized to fit your needs, and we give age appropriate guidance for how to involve your child in the process so they feel taken seriously.
Breaches in agreements are normal. We all push boundaries, make mistakes and forget to model good behaviour. Raising Digital Citizens aims to help you avoid power struggles, and manage conflicts and consequences in a way that fosters closeness and trust, not distance and hostility.
Keeping up to date in an ever evolving technological landscape of new apps, games and social media is crucial for staying connected to your child’s changing online world. We make this easy for parents to do by providing useful information and support so you can grow and evolve together.

Who are we ?
Raising Digital Citizens began as a personal journey when co-founder and bestselling author Jessica Joelle Alexander—together with her husband and CEO, Soren Poulsen—faced a dilemma familiar to many parents: their daughter, Sophia, wanted her first phone.
Handing her access to a vast digital world felt like handing her the keys to a car without any driving lessons. Determined to guide her responsibly, Jessica embarked on months of rigorous research—consulting leading Danish experts and drawing on her extensive background in parenting and cultural psychology. Over time, this grew into years of further testing and refining her ideas with families across the globe. From these in-depth conversations and hands-on experiments, Raising Digital Citizens was born.
